This May, BSK Reception teachers visited the homes of KG children who will be joining them in the upcoming academic year. Taking place from 19 to 21 May, these optional visits gave your little ones the chance to meet their new teacher for the very first time, in the place where they feel happiest and most secure: home. For young children, familiar faces matter enormously. A warm introduction in a comfortable, relaxed setting can make a world of difference when September arrives and your child walks into their new classroom for the first time. That sense of "I already know you" is a small thing with a big impact. The home visits are part of the annual transition programme that TSK and BSK run together each year, carefully designed to help children move into Reception with confidence and excitement. In a typical year, this includes classroom visits to the BSK campus and sessions where Reception teachers spend time with children in their TSK environment. This year, with learning continuing online, home visits offered a thoughtful and caring alternative, ensuring every child still had the opportunity to build that all-important connection before the new school year begins. Each family also received a welcome pack put together especially for this transition. Inside, children will find photos of their new learning spaces, information about the BSK Reception team, and the My BSK Bear Summer Scrapbook, a fun, interactive activity to enjoy over the summer holidays as they look forward to life at BSK. Watching your child grow from their first days at TSK all the way through to their Reception year at BSK is one of the greatest joys of our community. We are proud to walk alongside your family at every step, and that includes making sure the path ahead feels bright, familiar, and full of possibility. We cannot wait to see them thrive.
