Kindergarten Life at TSK
Our young learners thrive in an environment that promotes active, hands-on learning. In surroundings that ensure they feel safe and secure, our KG students grow in confidence and thrive as they explore engaging resources and new ideas.
Our School Day
We encourage all children to arrive before 07.45 to start the first lesson. Parents can collect children from their classes at the end of each day between 12.15 – 12.30. After school supervision until 14.30 will be provided for children who have registered for the Late Club.
Communication
Effective communication and home school partnership is pivotal in ensuring a smooth, successful and happy year. We pride ourselves on the caring and warm relationships we develop with families. Through face-to-face conversation, written methods, exclusive

Health, Safety and Wellbeing
The health and safety of children in our care is always our first priority. At The Sunshine Kindergarten (TSK) we are committed to safeguarding the welfare of the children in our care. In line with national and international standards, we have clear policies and procedures in place that seek to protect the welfare of students of all ages. To ensure our children are healthy and safe when studying and playing, our nursery team always includes staff with a first aid certificate and we provide regular first aid training to ensure staff are kept up to date.
Transport
TSK offers a very efficient, safe and reliable school bus service. Students are collected and dropped home directly from their residential address at the scheduled time as advised by the Transport Office. Students must remain seated and wear their seat belts at all times. The bus will not move if any student does not wear their seat belt. There is a Nanny supervising the children on each bus who has received Safeguarding, basic first aid and Health and Safety training.
Uniform
The wearing of the correct school uniform is an important part of life at TSK. We offer daily school and special-designed uniforms for Physical Education classes to ensure your child is comfortable when studying and playing.

- Once the admissions admin has been completed, you will receive final confirmation of your child's place, and we will work with you to help your child get ready for their new adventure at TSK

- Is there an application deadline?
- No, prospective families can apply to join TSK at any time during the academic year. Please get in touch with us to check our current availability. If a year group is full, we can add your child to our waiting list.
- How long does the admissions process take?
- From the moment you get in touch with us to the offer of a place, our admissions process can take as little as two to three weeks. Timings do vary, though, as each family’s application journey is personalised to their needs. Please speak to our Admissions Office to find out more.
- How quickly do you respond to enquiries?
- We aim to get back to you within 24 hours of receiving your admissions enquiry (working hours, Sunday to Thursday).
- What nationalities are represented at TSK?
- Our vibrant international community is home to children and families from more than 30 countries.
- What curriculum do you teach?
- Our young learners follow the British Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum. The EYFS sets the standard for the learning, development, and care of children from birth through to the age of five, laying the best possible foundations for the future.
